AK-47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle
At the present time we are NOT able to send these bottles overseas by courier and they are NOT able to be posted as parcels via the Russian mail system, but they are available for delivery in Moscow and you can take them home with you as luggage. We have found that you can generally take them on board a flight departing from Moscow as hand luggage (but you need to check first with your carrier), but if you have a transfer and not a direct flight home, most other airports will require the case to be checked in as cargo luggage before boarding your transfer flight.
For the purposes of transportation and any customs information, the case has dimensions of: Height - 16cm (6.3in), Width - 28cm (11in), Length - 67cm (26.4in) and a Weight of 6.5kg (14.3lbs). The case is wooden, treated and painted and the bottle is made of glass and contains 1 litre (0.88qt) of 40% Vodka. The bottles (and cases) have been taken through the Australian Quarantine & Inspection Services (one of the world’s most stringent Quarantine regimes) on several occasions and there have been no difficulties with any quarantine aspects of the wooden case or any other part of the bottle. The volume of 1 litre is generally within the limit of all countries for duty free alcohol being brought in as luggage. The cases come with an outer cardboard cover and we can provide bubble wrap for added protection of the case. To protect the bottle from damage, we suggest scrunched up balls of newspaper or magazine be put inside the case around the actual vodka bottle. The bottle is tied in place with string and a metal clip.
