| The choice of international courier is one best made on past experience and the advice provided in this answer is based on just that. For deliveries within Russia that are important, DHL has a very extensive network within the domestic Russian market and is able to provide regular and ontime deliveries throughout the Russian territory and to adjoining CIS countries. In Moscow DHL has a number of offices that accept deliveries located in good positions throughout the city and you will generally find that at least one member staff at any DHL office will have a basic understanding and knowledge of English, with some staff being very fluent. For international deliveries, DHL have also been very reliable and the same network of offices throughout Moscow is available. DHL deliveries to and from the Australasian region have been particularly regular and reliable. The other excellent service provider is UPS. They have been very quick and efficient with deliveries from Europe (especially the UK) and provide a very much on time and reliable service for all international deliveries and cargo. We would not recommend any other international carrier and we would caution that Fedex do NOT have offices in Russia, but merely subcontract the work to local companies. |
