| You will always need to have some cash for paying for things in Moscow. You do not however, need to bring large amounts of cash into the Country with you, or carry around large amounts of cash, as you can withdraw cash from ATM's 24 hours a day. If you do bring large amounts of cash into the Country you are required to declare that upon your entry. If you pay in cash the official currency for making all payments is the Ruble and every shop will accept Rubles. Most shops these days will ONLY accept Rubles for cash payment and will not accept USD, Euro or other currencies and you will need to change your currency into Rubles before making payment. |
